I was outside playing with my siblings, we were a huge family, about six or seven kids. This dream takes place in the 19' something. Our littlest brother had died a few years back, we were still grieving the loss of Dorothy. We were playing outside when we had saw something terrifying and ran inside. I waited for everyone to run in before locking all the doors. We just went to sleep and when we woke up, our parents were killed by an unknown cause. They said it was suicide but we know it was the demon we had saw in the backyard. We moved into our neighbors house, who were kind enough to let us sleep. We walked in to a living room with a huge bed for all of us, and three doors leading outside to the backyard, which I locked once more. Throughout the day, the doors were being banged and opened and unlocked from the outside. I continued closing and locking them. We went to sleep and I woke up every once in a while to lock the three doors. I woke up to my older sister, having some scissors in her hand. I removed them from her grasp and asked her to wake up. She was possessed by the demon, I knew it. The dream was like a movie that I was in. It switched between the main dream to a director talking about the 'movie' and the 'actors' getting ready to 'shoot the movie'. The scissors had a specific pattern for some reason, they were blue with a darker shade of blue acting like polka dots. She kept pulling out more scissors and I continued to take them away. My hands got full so I threw the rest of the scissors away. She stopped but then pulled another scissor out. I sighed and just went back to sleep. I've had this dream twice now, so I already knew what was going to happen. I woke up to my older sister having her throat slit and both of the neighbors being dead. The man with a telephone wrapped around his neck, and the woman being stabbed. Then I woke up.
This dream may reflect feelings of fear, grief, and loss. The presence of your deceased little brother and the ongoing grief for him indicates unresolved emotions and the longing for his presence. The terrifying presence of the demon in the backyard may symbolize your fears and anxieties. The fact that your parents were killed by an unknown cause, which you believe was connected to the demon, highlights your sense of helplessness and a need for protection. Moving into the neighbors' house can represent seeking refuge or seeking support from others during a difficult time.
The repetition of locking the doors and the constant banging and unlocking of the doors could represent a struggle to create a sense of safety and stability in your waking life. The scissors that your possessed sister holds could symbolize a tool or object that represents harm or danger. Your attempt to remove the scissors from her grasp reflects your desire to protect your loved ones from harm, even at the risk of facing the same danger yourself.
The dream's shifts between different perspectives (main dream, a director talking about the "movie," actors preparing to "shoot the movie") indicate a detachment from the events and a sense of observing the dream as if it were a movie. This may suggest a need to detach emotionally from the overwhelming emotions and fears that the dream is bringing up.
The dream concludes with the distressing images of your sister having her throat slit and both neighbors being dead. These images may represent feelings of loss, helplessness, and the inability to protect those around you.
Overall, this dream may reflect unresolved feelings of grief, fear, and a need for protection. It could also suggest a struggle to create stability and a sense of safety in your waking life. Consider exploring these emotions and seeking support to address and process them.
